What you see in the image above is is result of New Relic .NET agent monitoring frequently (every minute) running scheduled tasks.

Had conversation with nice person from New Relic support and apparently discovered that when they start up, the agent also starts up with it, and there is going to be a negative effect on performance due to the profiler performing startup tasks. This performance hit will occur regardless of whether or not custom instrumentation is in place.

One of the advice was to upgrade your .NET agent to the most recent version which is 6.11.613.0 (from 6.7).

The reason i am writing this, maybe it will save you some time in the future, or better in stage of software design.
